RIS-0775-CCS Iss 2
AWS and TPWS Application Requirements
Synopsis
RIS-0775-CCS issue two Part 5 and Appendices A to C incorporate new and updated requirements and guidance for the AWS/TPWS driver machine interface (DMI). The revised content recognises that the DMI can be implemented using a control panel, a touch screen visual display unit (VDU) or a soft key VDU.
Summary Of Changes
The content of Appendices A, B, C and D of RIS-0775-CCS issue one has been incorporated into Part 5 of RIS-0775-CCS issue two. The diagrams of the existing AWS/TPWS panel design have been retained as guidance in RIS-0775-CCS issue two Appendix B; this is recognised as an accepted design which can be used as a reference system. Some of the detailed requirements for the panel design have been amended or withdrawn because they are not applicable to a VDU-based DMI. Two requirements in RIS-0775-CCS issue one Part 5 section 5.4 setting out the AWS/TPWS onboard subsystem outputs have been moved to Part 4 section 4.3.
