Signalling Testing and Design Guidelines (STDGs) are issued to draw the attention of staff to emerging errors, weaknesses, and problems; giving advice on future practice and the need for any retrospective action. STDGs are complementary to the Design and Testing Handbooks. They are intended to give you early advice which may then be incorporated into the Handbooks at a later date.
