You will need this glossary if you are issued with GERT8000.

The term ‘additional protection’ for a line blockage has been added to the Glossary of Railway Terminology. This is to provide clarity on whether a form of protection must be applied by someone other than that who applied the ‘primary’ protection, or a second level of control applied by the same person is also acceptable. Providing a definition for additional protection within the Glossary will enable better use of the protection methods available and also improve the ability to introduce new types of additional protection.
