GERT8000-S5 Iss 12
Passing a signal at danger or an end of authority (EoA) without a movement authority (MA)
Synopsis
You will need this module if you carry out the duties of a: driver, guard, shunter or signaller. You will also need this module if you carry out the duties of a competent person for emergency special working or temporary block working.
Summary Of Changes
Section 3, ‘Authorising the movement’, has been revised to remove the requirement for the signaller to tell the driver about permissible speeds below the staff responsible ceiling speed. The same section has been revised also to include a consequential change that was overlooked in previously revising the wording of section 4.6, to maintain consistency.
The changes form part of the suite of general updates issued annually which are intended to improve understanding and application of the content of the Rule Book and provide opportunities for duty holders to operate more efficiently.
