GMRT2113 Iss 2
Rolling Stock Subsystem and Interfaces to DC Conductor Rail Energy Subsystem
Synopsis
This document sets out requirements as National Technical Rules (NTRs) for rolling stock that traverses the Great Britain (GB) mainline 750 V direct current (dc) conductor rail energy subsystem and includes requirements for compatibility between vehicle subsystems and the dc conductor rail energy subsystem.
Summary Of Changes
It was identified in the 60-month review of this RGS that some of the requirements set out therein cannot be valid NTRs based on the three qualifying criteria (a specific case or open point in an NTSN, or for technical compatibility with a legacy subsystem). This standard also did not the current RSSB style guide of requirement, rationale, and guidance, and therefore required updating to the current format, and several of the references made to other standards within it were out of date. A review and update of this standard to align it with the Railway Standards Code was also necessary.
