This document sets out requirements and guidance for the management of train accident risk arising from train operations as part of the GB rail industry's agreed strategy for improving health and safety, 'Leading Health and Safety on Britain's Railway'.

The standard has been updated to reflect the altered scope of the Train Accident Risk Group, to remove references to Asset Integrity, and to update references to Leading Health and Safety on Britain’s Railways, and Taking Safe Decisions, to reflect the new issues that have been published since the standard was first created.
