This document sets out the engineering requirements for heritage rail vehicles (including steam locomotives) to support use when operating in heritage train services on the GB mainline railway.

Revision to provide additional guidance on safety systems fitment (G 3.9.1.6), structural condition of vehicles (G 6.2.1.3), central door locking (6.3.2), Persons of Reduced Mobility (G 6.6.5) and Entities in Charge of Maintenance (7.2.4). Updates to standards cross references in line with current status of the standards catalogue. Update to standard format to match current style guidelines.
