ERTMS Handbook
Synopsis
You will need this handbook if you need to understand how the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) operates on the GB network.
Summary Of Changes
This new information handbook explains the basic concepts and operating principles of ERTMS to impacted frontline staff. The benefits from providing this new handbook will be wide reaching across industry, as it gives frontline staff the underpinning knowledge needed to understand ERTMS operation, therefore enabling them to operate the system correctly and effectively, and make safe decisions during degraded working.
14/11/2024 - At its meeting in September 2024, TOM SC agreed that a project should be initiated to revise the Handbook.
