Supporting rail leaders in embedding sustainable practices

The challenge
The course ensures that leaders have the skills needed to work with their sustainability team and understand the challenges and opportunities that sustainability provides.
The course also helps to create a network of leaders who can connect with each other and offer help and support.
What we did
We found that leaders in the rail industry would benefit from a course that focused on them being upskilled in sustainability.
We looked to understand what leaders needed and how we could better support them. We carried out research with leaders as well as sustainability professionals to understand knowledge gaps, opportunities, and challenges. We then put together a two-day training course, which was designed for leaders to be provided with a better understanding of sustainability as well as the skills to embed sustainability across their organisations.
