New e-learning course about sustainability in rail
The challenge RSSB faces is embedding the Sustainable Rail Blueprint across the rail industry.
Rail is embracing the Blueprint, but continuous efforts are needed to ensure that everyone understands its importance and their role in its successful implementation.
The Sustainable Rail e-learning course provides a clear overview. It helps participants from every level and area within the industry grasp the Blueprint. It also helps them understand how it relates to their role.
Having this understanding enables them to contribute more effectively to sustainable practices within the rail sector. Ultimately, this will help create a more sustainable railway.
RSSB has created a 30-minute e-learning course focused on the Sustainable Rail Blueprint.
The e-learning can be embedded internally or accessed externally through our website. This allows everyone to be able to access it.
Having it embedded internally on an organisation’s LMS allows them to make the e-learning compulsory to upskill anyone new to the industry.
And it isn’t only available to organisations that have an LMS. We have also made it available on our external LMS so that anyone can complete it.
RSSB has now informed the industry of the e-learning. And organisations are beginning to embed it internally or lead colleagues to our webpage to complete it.
There have been many benefits from the creation of the e-learning.
These include:
- improving knowledge across the GB rail industry to deliver sustainable rail
- increasing awareness of key sustainability concepts and terminology
- increasing awareness of the Sustainable Rail Blueprint
- developing a ‘culture for sustainability’
- providing an entry point for RSSB’s wider commercial Sustainable Rail L&D offer
- breaking down the roles everyone plays across the industry so that people are aware how they can contribute to a more sustainable railway.
