Vehicle/Track Technical Advisory Group
The Vehicle/Track Technical Advisory Group (V/T TAG) supports the System Interface Committee (SIC) by providing detailed technical advice on the interaction of the vehicle and track and a range of relevant topics. It maintains an overview of research and development activities in related fields, looking for gaps, overlaps and new opportunities.
"Bringing together industry partners, academia and RSSB delegates, the V/T TAG plays a key role in assisting the SIC through the provision of technical advice. We are one of three subgroups of the Vehicle/Track System Interface Committee, focusing specifically on a range of topics, namely the interaction of the vehicle and track."
Scope
The scope of the V/T TAG is described in its remit below. The purpose of the committee is to conduct independent review of, and give advice on, matters of a technical nature relating to the vehicle/track interface. This excludes adhesion issues. V/T TAG uses its expertise to advise the V/T SIC.

- suppliers and rolling stock manufacturers
- RSSB

- Department for Transport
- Office of Rail and Road.
