Vehicle/Track Technical Advisory Group
The Vehicle/Track Technical Advisory Group (V/T TAG) supports the System Interface Committee (SIC) by providing detailed technical advice on the interaction of the vehicle and track and a range of relevant topics. It maintains an overview of research and development activities in related fields, looking for gaps, overlaps and new opportunities.
Scope
The scope of the V/T TAG is described in its remit below. The purpose of the committee is to conduct independent review of, and give advice on, matters of a technical nature relating to the vehicle/track interface. This excludes adhesion issues. V/T TAG uses its expertise to advise the V/T SIC.
Membership
The V/T TAG has members representing these industry stakeholders:
- passenger train operators
- rolling stock owners and leasing companies
- infrastructure managers and owners
- suppliers and rolling stock manufacturers
- RSSB
- academia
- Department for Transport
- Office of Rail and Road.
