Scope

The purpose of the MSSSG is to:

  • Share best practice around supply chain transparency on modern slavery risk management within the group and across the rail industry.
  • Lead on a coherent and clear guide to managing modern slavery risk on the railway.
  • Promote the Good Practice Guide.
  • Act as a group of subject experts on modern slavery for the railway industry and its supply chain.
  • Facilitate greater engagement of industry stakeholders on the subject matter.
  • Provide input to the social sustainability elements of the Sustainable Rail Blueprint.
  • Identify research and development (R&D) needs around modern slavery and act as a steering group for R&D projects.
  • Facilitate well-connected networks and joined-up activities to avoid cross-auditing.
