Chris brings 30 years of leadership experience across Britain's rail and energy sectors, with a proven track record in managing complex, regulated infrastructure. He is currently Managing Director of SSEN Distribution at SSE plc, a leading generator of renewables and flexible energy in the GB and Ireland markets, and one of the world's fastest-growing electricity networks companies. 

Chris began his career in the railway industry, progressing from Area Production Manager at Railtrack in the late 1990s to senior leadership roles including Managing Director of Southern Railway and later Arriva UK Trains. Over two decades in rail operations has given Chris deep expertise in running safety-critical, customer-facing infrastructure at scale.
