This document provides guidance on GERT8072 ERTMS National Identities Management, which mandates requirements for arrangements for the management of the ERTMS National Identities on the mainline railway.

GERT8072 was reviewed in accordance with the final report of the European Commission's Task Force on National Safety Rules (NSRs). The review concluded it duplicated European legislation, and could not be retained as a NSR nor as a Railway Group Standard. Its requirements and associated guidance GEGN8672 remain valid and have been incorporated in RIS-8072-CCS Iss 1.
