Synopsis
This document mandates the actions required to identify and plan the mitigation of conditions of low adhesion between the wheel and the rail.
Summary Of Changes
GERT8040 was reviewed in accordance with the final report of the European Commission's Task Force on National Safety Rules (NSRs). the review concluded it duplicated European legislation, and could not be retained as a NSR nor as a RGS. Its requirements remain valid and have been incorporated in RIS-8040-TOM Iss 1.
