Synopsis

This document specifies the Minimum Signalling Braking Distance (MSBD) and Minimum Deceleration Distance (MDD) for lineside signal spacings and the signing of permissible speed changes. MSBD and MDD are parameters that support technical compatibility between the lineside signalling systems and rail vehicles.

Summary Of Changes

This is a revised document containing the material from GKRT0075 issue four and GKGN0675 issue four that is within scope of Railway Group Standards, with two additional requirements setting out methodology for determining MSBD and MDD on steep falling gradients.
