This document defines the essential elements of the acceptance testing process which should be completed before rail vehicles are allowed to operate on Railtrack controlled infrastructure. It also defines the requirements to minimise the risk when rail vehicles are subject to on-track testing as part of the process for the Engineering Acceptance of Rail Vehicles.
