This document sets out requirements for post incident and post accident examination and testing of rail vehicles, with particular requirements for testing of brakes, speed indicating systems, exterior doors and warning horns.

GMRT2273 was reviewed in accordance with the final report of the European Commission's Task Force on National Safety Rules (NTRs). The review concluded it duplicated European legislation, and could not be retained as a NSR nor as a RGS. Its requirements remain valid and its status has been changed to a RIS
