Synopsis
This document sets out risk control measures to manage the operation of steam locomotives on GB mainline infrastructure.
Summary Of Changes
RIS-3440-TOM reproduces GORT3440 in its entirety, unchanged in Annex A. This RIS can be adopted by IMs and RUs to help discharge legal responsibilities placed on them by the Railways and Other Guided Transport Systems (Safety) Regulations, 2006, to have procedures and methods for carrying out risk evaluations and implementing risk control measures in their Safety Management Systems.
