You will need this module if you carry out the duties of a driver of an on-track machine, an operator of an on-track machine or a signaller.

In section 4.3, ‘Wrong-direction movements’, driver instructions have been expanded to include the actual warning horn sound to be used in alignment with the wording in GERT8000-TW1 section 48. In the same section, the instruction around the competent person has been reworded to fit better the Rule Book style.

Section four ‘Working outside a possession’ has been revised to include new instructions at section 4.4 on maintaining clearance from other lines. These new instructions replicate those already applicable when working within a possession. They explain that the necessary clearance from an adjacent line will be defined in company instructions, and that the instructions also apply to a line adjacent to one on which vehicles are being loaded by an OTM with extendible equipment.

Section five, ‘Working within a possession’ has been expanded at section 5.1 to include instructions similar to those already published for on-track plant. They explain that the necessary clearance from an adjacent line will be defined in company instructions, and that the instructions also apply to a line adjacent to one on which vehicles are being loaded by an OTM with extendible equipment. An additional method of obtaining the necessary clearance has been included, which already applies to on-track plant.
