Summary Of Changes
RIS-2700-RST issue two was published in 2021 and, in accordance with the Standards Code, was reviewed 12 months after publication. The review identified several queries from industry, including two Requests for Help, which led to the recommendation to revise the standard for the following reasons: A request for help to clarify the role of the railway undertaking (RU) and the entity in charge of maintenance (ECM) during engineering change; The need to cover aspects of engineering change relating to software and cyber security; A request for help to include a means of addressing one of the recommendations in Network Rail’s reports into the runaway at Bawtry and Potential implications arising from RAIB’s report into the Llangennech derailment and fire.
