Permissive Working Risk Assessment and Risk Controls
Synopsis
This document sets out the Control, Command and Signalling (CCS) system requirements for authorising a train
movement into an occupied section of line, and the factors to be considered in undertaking a permissive working risk assessment.
Summary Of Changes
The intent of RIS-0744-CCS issue one is to provide industry with the updated requirements for permissive working that are implemented on the GB mainline railway and the risk assessment that is applied to confirm that risk arising from permissive working is controlled to an acceptable level. The rationale for why each requirement is needed is included together with guidance that explains how compliance with the requirements can be achieved.authorizing a train movement into an occupied section of line, and the factors to be considered in undertaking a permissive working risk assessment.
