Synopsis
This document sets out requirements for the registration, marking and numbering of rail vehicles operating on the Great Britain (GB) mainline network.
Summary Of Changes
The document has been updated to align with RIS-2706-RST to introduce additional requirements for multiple unit class and sub-class numbering and to include guidance on European vehicle numbers (EVNs) and alpha codes for wagons. Where appropriate, content has been migrated to RIS-2706-RST.
