You will need this module if you carry out the duties of a driver, guard, signaller or train preparer. It sets out the operational instructions to be applied when on-train equipment becomes defective. It works alongside Rail Industry Standard RIS-3437-TOM.

The drivers for the changes to some of the sections in the Rule Book module were: 1) provide further clarity in areas known to be causing confusion, 2) improve the consistency in the application of rules and requirements and 3) clarification of terminology. The sections affected by the revision were: 1.1, 5.4, 5.5, 6.3, 8.2, 8.4, 15.1, 15.7, 15.8, 17, 19, 26.1 and 26.2.
